Writing Prompt: Down The Rabbit Hole

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll is one of the most famous children books in the world. Even if you have not read the book you have most likely seen some adaptation or version of it. It is frequently adapted and highly influential. Like many other children’s books, the plot hinges on the character finding herself in a new world, very different from her own.

For the prompt this week I want you to invent a character, you can name him or her anything but Alice, and put that character down a rabbit hole. It doesn’t have to be the same rabbit hole, but it does have to lead to another world. That other world can be the same as Wonderland, or it can be slightly altered, or completely different. It can even be an already established other world, such as Narnia or Tatooine.

Write only for 15 minutes. So you can start with your character already down the rabbit whole if you want, or not. All the details are up to you. Have fun with this.
Happy Writing!

27 Literary Fiction Publishers that Accept Direct Submissions – No Agent Required

Literary fiction is one of the harder genres to get published in without an agent.
