The Narrative Arc—Finding the Pulse of the Poem

You are invited to a free talk and Q&A session with poet Bill Garvey.

During this talk, Bill will explore the mechanics of the narrative poem, distinguishing it from prose poetry through its strategic use of lyrical compression and rhythmic momentum. We will examine how a narrative poem transcends mere anecdote by anchoring story in song.

Using examples from poets such as Ada Limón, Naomi Shihab Nye & Seamus Heaney, this talk will give you insight into crafting meaningful narrative poetry.

By signing up, we will also let you know about future lectures, workshops, and opportunities from The Writer's Workshop at Authors Publish.
