Biteback Publishing: Accepting Book Proposals

Biteback Publishing is based in London, England, and is focused on publishing work on political and current affairs titles. They also publish history, memoir, espionage, sport and general nonfiction, and they do not publish fiction of any kind. You can get a good feel for what they are currently publishing by seeing their new releases here.

They have international distribution. Their covers are genre appropriate. Their website is well organized.

They are open to proposals and have detailed guidelines of what they want to see as part of the proposals here. They only consider proposals submitted by email.

Please follow their guidelines carefully. They mention specifically that an author bio matters, which is true for almost all nonfiction. They ask specific questions related to that.

They try to respond to all submissions within six weeks, but warn writers that it can take longer at times.
