Blue Snake Books: Accepting Submissions

Blue Snake Books is an imprint of North Atlantic Book Company. You can see our review of North Atlantic Book Company here.

Blue Snake Books, was founded in 2005. Since the start they have focused on martial arts. They break their catalog down in terms of type of martial art, covering Aikido, Baguazhang, Capoeira, Chinese martial arts, Japanese martial arts, Jiu-jitsu & Judo, Karate & Tae Kwon Do, Krav Maga, Muay Thai & Kickboxing, Qigong (Ch’i Gung), Taijiquan (T’ai Chi), and Xingiquan.

They also have sections focused on martial theory and history, and biography and memoir. Many of the books they list, are found in more than one section, because of overlap.

The best way to judge if your work is a good fit for Blue Snake Books is to spend time with their catalog here.

They are distributed by Penguin Random House, and I have seen some of their books in stores. You can see their full submission guidelines here. If you do submit to them, please follow their submission guidelines carefully.
