Carolina Academic Press was founded over 50 years ago, focusing on publishing non fiction books aimed at lawyers. They are still primarily a law publisher, but they’ve also published titles in other areas for a long time now, including titles on history, sociology, criminal justice, education and politics. You can learn a little more about them here.
I also highly suggest checking out their full catalogue as that gives you a better idea of what they publish. I can’t share a direct link to all their titles because of how their website is set up, unfortunately. You can see one section of their catalog here, and if you click on the subheading that says titles near the top of the page a pop up will appear where you can access the rest.
They are open to proposals by mail or by form. You can learn more about what they expect in terms of proposals here. Please follow their guidelines carefully before submitting.
