Changelings: Now Accepting Manuscript Submissions

Changelings is an e-publisher of erotic romance (not to be confused with erotica). This means that there should be “highly” erotic and romantic elements to the book. They ask that the relationships and endings are plot driven.

They ask that a book ends happily ever after, or within the context of a series, happy for now. That does not mean the characters have to get married at the end of the book.

Changelings have been around for 18 years now, which is a long time for an electronic publisher. They publish primarily shorter works.

They have published some more established erotic writers and their editing has been complimented on more than one occasion. They have a quick turn-around time historically, in terms of accepting and publishing books.

The covers vary from fine to terrible, and their sales rank on Amazon tend to middling.

Currently they are seeking works of women’s erotic romance. They are interested in short fiction, single titles, series, and serials that contain any of the following genres and themes:

Genres: Sci-Fi/Futuristic Romance, Dark and Urban Fantasy Romance, Paranormal Romance,  Action Adventure Romance, and Guilty Pleasures (Adult Contemporary Romance).

Themes: MC Romance, Rock Star Romance, Alien Encounters Romance, Men and Women in Uniform Romance, New Adult Romance, Single Parent/Pregnancy Romance, 2nd Chance Romance, Interracial Romance, Gay, Bisexual and More Romance, Multiple Partner Romance, Shapeshifter Romance, Vampire Romance, Werewolf Romance, Zombie Romance, and Tentacle Monster  Romance.

The work they publish tends to be on the shorter side, between 20,000 and 40,000 words. They try to respond to all submissions within two weeks.

They have detailed royalty information and submission guidelines on their website here.
