A new limb of The Masters Review, Frontier Poetry is an online platform for emerging poets. Highly selective yet ecumenical, Frontier Poetry is a quality journal for new poets of all types, as well as a resource for other writers, publishers, and literary agents. They are looking for work that pushes the boundaries of language, through both experimental and traditional forms. To get a sense of what they like, you can read Frontier Poetry online.
Frontier Poetry accepts submissions year-round. They accept work from both new and emerging poets who have not published more than one full-length collection of poetry. Authors of any number of chapbooks and story collections may submit. Frontier pays poets $50 for each published poem, up to $150.
New and emerging poets may submit up to ten pages of poetry, or up to five poems. Submissions should be well-polished and exhibit excellence in craft. All submissions should be accompanied by a cover letter detailing previous publications. Submitting poets can expect a response within eight to twelve weeks.
Frontier Poetry accepts submissions online, but not via post or email. They accept simultaneous submissions, but ask that authors immediately withdraw work published elsewhere. They do not accept multiple submissions. All submitted poems should be included within a single document.
