Ghost Parachute: Now Seeking Submissions

Ghost parachute is an established online journal of flash fiction. They publish daring, unexpected flashes that explore the grey outside traditional black and white boundaries. They especially like surrealist fiction. You can get a sense of their style by reading the journal online.

Since 2016, Ghost Parachute has been published once a month online. Each issue contains work from six authors. They accept submissions year-round, and they respond to most submissions within a month.

Authors of flash fiction may submit one flash, 1,000 words or fewer. Authors should wait for a response before submitting again.

All submissions should include a polished, third-person bio. Submitted flashes should be doubled spaced and formatted as Word documents or PDFs. They don’t review submissions that don’t adhere to the submission guidelines.

Although Ghost Parachute does not pay authors, they enthusiastically promote authors published in their journal.

Ghost Parachute accepts submissions using an online submission manager, not via email or by post. They accept simultaneous submissions but ask that authors notify them immediately if the submission is published elsewhere. They do not accept previously work, including work published on personal blogs.

If you would like to learn more or submit to Ghost Parachute, please visit their website here.
