Gigantic Sequins: Now Seeking Submissions

Gigantic Sequins is a black and white print journal. They were started in Brooklyn, and are currently primarily based in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, with outposts throughout the US in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, & more. They are highly respected and have a low acceptance rate. They publish poetry, fiction, nonfiction, as well as art and comics.

They close to submissions officially on January 15th, but are known to sometimes close earlier. They ask that you only submit once per genre, per submission period. They have two submission periods per year. You can learn more about their editors here. You can see their answers to frequently asked questions here.

Each year they also host a contest geared at teenagers which you learn more about here (the contest is closed for this year). Contributors all receive a complimentary copy. They try to respond to all submissions within four months.
