Graveside Press

Graveside Press is the Horror Imprint of Paper Angel Press, which you can learn more about here. It’s important to read that review as well, as it covers more of how the press as a whole operates.

They are a relativity new imprint having been founded in October 2024. You can already get a good feel for the books they have already published, by going here.

They accept all submissions via Duotrope’s submission manager Duosuma.

They are open to submissions of standalone works (novels, novellas, short stories “Tiny Terrors”), as well as anthology submissions. For standalone work they pay 50% royalties of net earnings paid quarterly. For Anthology submissions they pay 2¢ per word after publication.

Please follow all their submission formatting guidelines carefully.

They currently have the following calls open for submissions:

GRADEside Middle Grade & Young Adult Horror, which focuses on horror for younger readers. There is no deadline listed.

Graveside Press: General Call for Submissions, which includes their general submissions for novels, novellas, and short story collection for adults. It closes to submissions on September 30th.

Graveside Press: Cryptid Anthology, which is an anthology focusing on Cryptid’s, which they define as “animals or creatures that are mentioned in folklore or other accounts, but whose actual existence is questionable”. They close to submissions on March 15th.

Graveside Press: Tiny Terrors 2025
For stand alone fiction that is between 2,000 and 12,000 words in length to be considered for their anthologies. For stand alone Tiny Terrors they’ll consider work between 5,000-15,000 words. They close to submissions for this call on October 31st.
