Hoxie Gorge Review: Now Accepting Submissions

The Hoxie Gorge Review publishes poetry, fiction, and nonfiction by both emerging and established contemporary writers. They say their only requirement is quality. Their website is well-laid-out and easy to interact with.

It’s easy to get a feel for what they publish by reading their current issue.

They close to submissions on September 30th and all submissions must be made through Submittable.

For fiction submissions they prefer to read work under 4,000 words in length, but have no firm upper limit, although you may only submit one story. For poetry, please submit 3-5 poems in a single file.

For non-fiction they prefer works of 4,000 words or less, personal essay / memoir, but they are open to longer work.

They try to respond to all submissions in three months. Read their full submission guidelines here.
