Launched in August 2024 by Australian author T L Swan, Keeperton is a new press with good distribution. You can learn more about its launch here. They describe their publication by saying, “Keeperton is a publisher that takes immense pride in our commitment to prioritising authors at every step of the publishing journey. We understand that each author has a unique voice and story waiting to be heard, and we are dedicated to ensuring that they are at the heart of everything we do.” You can read their full About Us here. They are currently open for submissions of Crime & Thrillers, and Children’s Fiction, and of Romantic Fiction, at their Romance imprint Arndell, which we’ve reviewed separately. T L Swan is publishing her own work as part of their larger publication slate.
It’s very hard to get a feel for what they are planning to publish in terms of the Keeperton imprint, because so far all the books they’ve published are for the Arndell imprint. They do share what they are seeking in these genres, but there’s no catalogue to check to see what they have published so far in terms of this.
In terms of Crime & Thrillers they say they are currently seeking the following: “We’re looking for compelling, high-stakes stories that grip readers from the very first page. Whether it’s a slow-burning psychological thriller or a fast-paced crime procedural, your manuscript should deliver tension, intrigue, and unexpected twists. We’re drawn to strong protagonists and narratives that explore the darker side of human nature with originality and style. If your story keeps readers guessing and hearts racing, we want to read it.”
For Children’s fiction this is what they say they are seeking: “We’re looking for imaginative, heartfelt, and engaging stories that capture the curiosity and wonder of young readers. Whether it’s a laugh-out-loud early reader, a magical middle-grade adventure, or a gentle story with an important message, we’re drawn to writing that respects the intelligence and emotions of children. Strong characters, memorable voice, and a sense of joy, discovery, or comfort are key. If your story sparks imagination and invites young readers into a world they’ll want to revisit, we’d love to see it.”
