The Power of Perspective — Choosing the Right Voice to Drive Your Story

You're invited to a free one-hour talk and Q&A session with novelist and writing instructor David Rocklin.

Point of View (POV) isn’t just a technical choice. It's the engine that drives your story’s voice, emotion, and momentum. In talk, you’ll dive headfirst into the multi-faceted world of first‑person, second‑person, and third‑person perspectives.

You'll discover how your choice of POV transforms your reader’s bond with your characters and universe. You’ll learn how POV becomes the cinematic “camera lens” of your story that pulls your readers closer.

This talk will give you you practical tools for staying consistent, steering clear of clarity‑breaking pitfalls like head‑hopping, and keeping your narrative razor‑sharp even in your most intense scenes. You’ll walk away with a deeper command of POV, ready to craft stories that grab your readers' attention.

The talk will air live on March 27th at 1:00 PM Eastern Time / 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

By signing up, we will also let you know about future lectures, workshops, and opportunities from The Writer's Workshop at Authors Publish.
