Meow Meow Pow Pow: Now Seeking Submissions

Meow Meow Pow Pow is an online guerrilla lit press publishing short form literature on printable broadsides with original artwork. Launched by a group of graffiti lovers and cat admirers, Meow Meow Pow Pow hopes to wheatpaste the world with micro lit. They want their free, shareable broadsides to give a microphone to unheard voices. They’re looking for small, surprising stories and poems with big, wide-open ideas. They like unknown writers just as much as famous ones, maybe even more. And, they like writing that’s impactful and accessible rather than complex and heady.

Meow Meow Pow Pow accepts submissions all the time and publishes one new broadside each week. Authors of fiction may submit flashes of 150 to 300 words. Poets may submit poems of 25 lines or fewer.  Authors may submit one piece at a time and should wait for a response before submitting again.

Flashes and poems submitted to Meow Meow Pow Pow should respond to their quarterly theme, found on their website. Right now, their theme is Love Letters. They are open to Submissions on this theme till December 11th. They prefer unexpected spins on their themes to literal takes.

Meow Meow Pow Pow accepts submissions online, but not via post or by email. They don’t accept previously published work.

If you would like to learn more or submit to Meow Meow Pow Pow, please visit their website here.
