Last Updated October 28th, 2026: They are now only open to submissions from Residents of NZ and Australia.
Pan Macmillan Australia is open to direct submissions every March and September. They are the Austalian imprint of Macmillian, one of the big five publishers. This is the only way to submit to Macmillan directly. They have excellent distribution in Australia.
They are asking that submitting authors choose a publisher (editor) from the list they share, to submit to directly. On the main page it’s hard to get a sense what each publisher is seeking, so please click through to read their full bio if you think they might be the right fit.
They have additional questions outlined on their form, and you can see and review the questions at any time. The form does not only appear when they are open to submissions.
All submissions are made through their easy to use submission manager. To learn more go to their website here.
