Park Street Press is an imprint of Inner Traditions and Bear & Company. The Park Street Press imprint focuses on publishing books “to enhance our understanding of the world in which we live, with a strong focus on psychology, new science, consciousness studies, and psychedelics & entheogens.” We have a full review of Inner Traditions and Bear & Company here.
Park Street Press is named after the street in Rochester, Vermont, where the Inner Traditions offices are located. I’m focusing in on this imprint for this review because it is one of the more active imprints at Inner Traditions and Bear & Company. They regularly release new books and their focus is more specific than the company at large. You can see what they are currently focused on publishing and learn more about their imprint here.
They accept submissions by mail or email. If it is sent by post, please include a self-addressed and stamped envelope with sufficient postage. They do not send out rejections, and instead ask that you assume rejection if you haven’t heard from them in six weeks.
When you submit a proposal they ask for a query letter, a table of contents, an introduction, and sample chapters. They go into details about these components in their submission guidelines.
Their submission guidelines are very helpful. Two of the imprints have specific instructions in terms of submitting, but Park Street Press submitters can follow the guidelines shared for most of the imprints.
