Any manuscript that does not fit within the confines of one of their current series is not a good fit for them.
They also have a yearly poetry prize series, but it involves a fee, in terms of submissions, and we do not cover opportunities that involve a fee.
Like many academic presses, at Parlor each book “undergoes peer review by scholars or other acknowledged experts or published authors”. Even with this review process, turn around time is generally around three months. This is particularly important because they will not consider simultaneous submissions.
They have lots of additional details in terms of formatting submissions. You can go here to learn more. They allow submissions via email or post.
