Silver Stork is an attractively designed multimedia journal of poetry, prose, visual art, video, and sound. Each themed issue collects and curates a wide variety of perspectives on a single subject.
To get a sense of Silver Stork’s aesthetic, you can read past issues online. They’re looking for inspiring, inventive writing.
Silver Stork publishes two editions each year, in the summer and winter. So far, they’ve published four issues.
Right now through January 31, they’re accepting submissions for their upcoming issue, themed “March.” All submissions must relate to the theme, but Silver Stork considers a broad range of interpretations.
Poets may submit up to four poems. Authors of prose may submit one piece, 3,000 words or fewer. Silver Stork accepts a wide variety of prose, including short stories, essays, and skits. Visual artists may submit up to three pieces. Filmmakers and sound artists may submit one recording, five minutes or shorter. All submissions must include a title and a brief biography, two to three sentences long.
Silver Stork accepts submissions via email, not online or by post. They do not accept previously published work.
