Sontag Mag was established in 2023. They publish three issues each year, and their latest issue, Spring 2025, includes one interview, fourteen poems, and three poems in translation. The journal is thoughtfully designed and easy to navigate, with compelling images accompanying the poems. They also keep an archive of all writing previously published in Sontag Mag.

Translators should include the original poem along with the translation, and translators must have permission from the original author before submitting. Submitting poets and translators can expect a response within three months.

They do not accept translations of poems that have appeared elsewhere in English, either online or in print. They also do not accept poems or translations that have been assisted or created by AI.
