Superpresent: Now Seeking Submissions

Superpresent is a print and digital journal of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and visual art. They are looking for writing that conveys some aspect of what they call the “super present”: “It could be something very much in the here and now, or something beyond the present state of being or thinking, or something surreal, or it could simply be a great and wonderful gift.” You can read the journal online to get a sense of what they publish.

Superpresent launched in 2020, and since then they’ve published four issues per year. Each issue contains writing from around 30 authors, in addition to an abundance of artwork from around 30 artists. They also feature a small number of video and audio recordings.

Each issue is available as a free digital download, and is also published in print.

Now through June 15, they are seeking submissions for publication in their summer 2026 issue. The theme of the issue is “Mapping”.

Poets may submit up to three poems. Authors of fiction and creative nonfiction may submit short stories and essays, 500-2,000 words.

Artists may submit up to three images. They accept a wide variety of artwork, including experimental art. Superpresent also accepts video art and audio art.

Superpresent accepts submissions via email, not online or by post. They do not accept previously published work.

Superpresent only accepts submissions that follow the guidelines they’ve posted online. Please read these guidelines in full before submitting.
