A brand-new literary journal from the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (JI), The Blue Tiger Review is seeking fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, translations, and flash writing from both emerging and established authors. They are uniquely interested in publishing work by high school and university ESL students, alongside work by veteran authors. The editorial staff of JI students and faculty is committed to helping authors develop through constructive feedback.
The Blue Tiger Review is also seeking nonfiction articles on the art of studying and teaching creative writing. Additionally, they ask experienced authors published in The Blue Tiger Review to compose a short piece—one or two paragraphs—of advice for student authors.
Authors of fiction and creative nonfiction may submit one piece, 3,000 words or fewer. Authors of flash fiction and flash nonfiction may submit pieces, 500 words or fewer each. Poets may submit up to three poems.
The Blue Tiger Review also accepts English translations of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, as well as visual art. They accept creative work of all kinds from veteran authors.
The Blue Tiger Review accepts submissions via email, not online or by post. They welcome authors to submit to multiple genres.
