The Fictional Café: Now Accepting Submissions

The Fictional Café is an online magazine and forum for authors and artists, publishing new poetry, fiction, novel excerpts, podcasts, and artwork of all genres each month. Like a virtual coffee shop, The Fictional Café is a meeting place for authors and artists to read, share, and discuss great writing and artwork. Members can inspire one another by sharing their own work or sharing thoughts about other work published in the Café. Membership is free, but required for participation. You can read the magazine online to get a sense of what they publish.

New work is published frequently in The Fictional Café, and members are notified.  All published submissions are considered for inclusion in a bound book collection, “The Strong Stuff: A Fictional Café Anthology.” The first will be published Sept. 1, 2019.

Poets may submit four to six poems. Fiction writers may submit one short story or novel excerpt. Submissions in either category should not exceed 3,000 words, unless the submission can be broken into sections of 3,000 words or fewer. The Fictional Café also accepts original audio and video podcasts for publication. Postcasts should be no longer than 30 minutes. Submitting authors and podcast creators are welcome to revise and resubmit one time, and can expect a prompt response from the editors. Remember, you must be a member to submit. If you decide to submit, you can join the Café for free here: http://www.fictionalcafe.com/coffee-club/.

The Fictional Café accepts submissions via email, but not online or by post. They do not accept previously published work.
