The New Verse News: Now Seeking Submissions

The New Verse News is a publisher of politically progressive poetry on current events and topical issues. They are one of the few publishers of timely topical poetry. The other main option is Rattle’s weekly Poets Respond publication. And Rise Up Review also often publishes work that interacts directly or indirectly with the news.
They are only interested in politically progressive poetry, please do not submit work to them that does not meet this criteria.
The New Verse News is an online literary journal that publishes new poems daily. They ask that authors not simultaneously submit, because they have a quick turn- around time, often under three days, and a high acceptance rate.
They have no strict number limit on the amount of poems you submit, but I would not submit more than five. Make sure to use “Verse News Submission” as the subject line and put the poems in the body of the email along with a brief bio. Authors retain all rights after publication, but they do not accept reprints.
