A brand new online journal founded by animal advocate Hillary Vaillancourt, The Veggie Wagon Journal publishes poetry, fiction, essays, photos, and illustrations that honor animals and the people dedicated to them. They are looking for literature in any form or style, and they hope to represent all forms of animal life in their publication. You can get a sense of what they publish by reading the journal online.
In addition to working as an avid animal advocate, editor Hillary Vaillancourt also works as a writer herself. She enjoys writing about her role as a stepmom and her passion for celebrating animals. And, she does it all fueled by veggies, of course!
The Veggie Wagon Journal plans to publish new content online on a rolling basis. They’re just getting started, so be sure to check back for new posts in the months ahead. They accept submissions year-round.
Authors may submit poems, works of fiction, or essays, 5,000 words or fewer. The Veggie Wagon Journal accepts submissions via email, but not online or by post. They ask that authors include all work in the body of the email; they do not open attachments.
