Threadcount: Now Seeking Submissions

Threadcount is an online journal of short form hybrid literature seeking textural, experimental poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and other hybrid texts. They want work that weaves layer upon layer in a small, dense, textile-like space. They are interested in work that questions the boundaries of genre and refuses classification. Submitting authors can read Threadcount online to get a sense of their style.

Since 2013, Threadcount has published two issues per year, each with work from around five contributors.  They accept submissions year-round. Submitting authors should wait for a response before sending more work; Threadcount does not accept multiple submissions.

Authors of hybrid literature–poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and unclassified forms–may submit up to five short pieces. Threadcount prefers to publish work of 1,000 words or fewer; however, they occasionally consider longer pieces. Right now, they do not accept mixed-media or multimedia presentations.

Threadcount accepts submissions via email, but not online or by post. They accept simultaneous submissions, but they do not accept previously published work.

If you would like to learn more or submit to Threadcount, please visit their website here.
