Three Anthologies Seeking Submissions

These three anthologies all have very different focuses but they are all seeking submissions. One is looking for poems relating to Bob Dylan, one is looking for essays using readymade forms, and one is looking for work by queer writers about the natural world.

Visiting Bob

An anthology published by NEW RIVERS PRESS  called Visiting Bob is looking for poems inspired by the life and work of Bob Dylan.

They are open to previously published and unpublished work. All submissions must be made by September 15th, 2016.

To learn more, visit their Submittable account here: www.newriverspress.submittable.com/submit.

The Shellgame: An essay anthology
Submissions are open for an anthology of essays that borrow readymade forms, to be published by
the University of Nebraska Press in 2018.  What they mean by readymade forms is essays that borrow their structures from ordinary, extra-literary sources (a recipe, a police report, a pack of cards, an obituary…). Payment is $100, plus two copies of anthology, plus a $100 coupon to UNP Books. They are seeking brand new work. Submit only through Submittable. Simultaneous submissions are fine as long as you notify the editor of acceptance elsewhere as soon as possible. Deadline is June 1, 2016.
To learn more or to submit, visit their website here.

Queer Nature

They seek poetry submissions from LGBTQIA writers on the subject of nature, place, ecology, flora, fauna, and the body.

They are open to all forms, styles and approaches to these subjects, they are even interested in work that takes an anti-nature approach. All submissions must be made by email. The deadline is May 30th, 2016

If you wish to submit, please send 3-5 poems (or one longer piece) along with a short bio as a Word (.docx or .doc) attachment to qnpoetryATgmailDOTcom, with “Queer Nature” in the subject line.
