Tiny Spoon is a new, “bite-size,” print and PDF literary magazine of (mostly) experimental literature. Their fresh, fun aesthetic corresponds with their quirky content and contest themes—like the creative recipe contest featured in issue three, and the erasure contest in issue two.
Tiny Spoon feeds readers with smart design and unconventional literary art. You can get a sense of their aesthetic by reading past issues online. Each print and PDF edition of Tiny Spoon features work by around 30 authors and artists. So far, they’ve published three issues.
The like to print pieces that have had trouble finding homes elsewhere, eclectic writing that’s hard to categorize. They want, “your fragile soul parted at the seams into our bound paper glossary of tiny wonder.”
Tiny Spoon accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Right now, they’re seeking submissions for their fifth edition, scheduled for publication in spring 2020. It’s themed “ecology.” Authors of prose, poetry, and everything in-between may submit up the three pieces, four pages (1,000 words) or fewer per piece. All submissions should include a one sentence bio.
Tiny Spoon accepts submissions via email, not using an online submission manager or by post. They accept simultaneous submissions but ask that author withdraw work published elsewhere. They do not accept previously published work.
