This small press focuses on publishing “historical romance novels set prior to 1950 and woven with the truth of God’s love”. You can see their staff page here. They were founded by an established Christian historical romance writer. They really focus on their niche, and seem to be successful within that context. A number of their books have over 70 ratings on Amazon. Their covers are well-designed and genre-appropriate.
They do not accept AI submissions of any kind.
They want the hero and heroine to meet early in the story and be together throughout most of it. Work should be between 60,000 – 80,000 words. They can sometimes consider novellas of a shorter length in a series.
They prefer books set in the United States or Canada, but will consider other locations, particularly European Regency. Their preferred time period ranges from 1700 to 1950, but we will consider earlier periods, but not later ones.
They really lean into the tropes and say they want books with “with easily identifiable tropes (often more than one) sell well. For example: enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, ugly duckling, rags to riches, fish out of water, forced proximity, mail-order bride, marriage of convenience.”
They also said they want a deep point of view and not a narrative split between the two main characters.
