Mischief & Mayham: Now Seeking Manuscript Submissions

Updated March 2025

Mischief and Mayhem are the YA imprints of the romance publisher Entangled Publishing. Until recently they were called Entangled Teen, but they have since been rebranded. Please read the review of Entangled Publishing first, as they have had a number of issues over the years, that you should take into consideration.

Mischief focuses on publishing general YA for readers 13 and up, with fantasy, sci-fi, horror, contemporary, thriller, with sweet romantic elements. Work they publish is between 80 and 100k in length. These books can contain romantic themes and even occasional strong language and action and conflict, but nothing is overly graphic.

Mayhem focuses on publishing YA for readers 16 and older fantasy, sci-fi, horror, contemporary, thriller, with romantic elements. Work is between 90 and 120k in length. These books generally feature stronger language, more intense violence, and mature romantic themes.

Because the rebranding is so new, it’s easier to get a feel for what YA Entangled is interested in publishing by looking under their YA filter, here. Both Mayhem and Mischief are listed under imprints, but there are no books currently in the Mischief category and only two in the Mayhem.
