The Totally Entwined Group is an eBook, audiobook, and print publisher that was successful in its own right before being purchased by the Bonnier Publishing group. There have been some shifts in focus since Bonnier purchased it in 2015 but the group still has a mostly good reputation. For a long time its focus was on it’s two flagship established imprints – Pride and Totally Bound. They later added a third imprint focused on YA and New Adult books called Finch.
As of October 1st, 2024, they seem to have moved away from all three imprints, and their original name but their focus is still only on Romance. They have now rebranded as Entwined Publishing. They also have eight imprints, all with brand new names. We may focus on some individual imprints moving forward, but this review is largely focused on the publisher as a whole. The current eight imprints are Epic (Young/New Adult), Entice (Contemporary), Eclipse (Dark Romance), Enchant (Romantasy – which is to say romance + fantasy), Eternal (Paranormal), Echoes (Historical) and Expanse (Science Fiction). All imprints have additional guidelines and preferences. Please carefully review the appropriate imprints page before submitting.
You can see the submissions page containing all the imprints here, and if you scroll down you can see all of the genres and tropes they are interested in within all their series (although not all of them, they point out, apply to Epic because of the younger audience for those books). They also include heat rating parameters, and length information. They stress that they prefer series over single releases. They ask that you submit your full manuscript via email.
It’s important to note, that as of April 2023, there was an author on the Water Cooler that cited major issues with regaining rights. You can read that post here. It’s hard to put too much weight into one post in an anonymous forum, but it is something to keep in mind.
On the updated website they no longer disclose royalty rates anywhere that I could find, but they do still have extensive FAQs that are helpful. They also have an about page that largely serves as a masthead. Based on that page, even though the name has changed, not that much else has.
