CircleShow: Now Seeking Submissions

The heart of Seven CirclePress, CircleShow is a print publication of poetry, fiction, flash fiction, and nonfiction. Since 2008, they’ve published both emerging and established authors within the independent literary scene. They don’t adhere to a particular aesthetic, but they’re drawn to unifying perspectives that promote community and meaningful interaction. You can download a PDF of their print publication online to get a sense of their style.

CircleShow is published twice a year, in summer and winter. Each issues contains work from around 15 authors. Submitting authors can expect a response within three months, if not sooner.

Poets may submit up to five poems in any form or style. Authors of fiction may submit up to 30 pages of work. CircleShow considers many forms of fiction, but they aren’t especially interested in fiction written for youth, dime store romance, or erotica. Authors of flash fiction may submit up to three pieces, 10 pages or fewer. Authors of nonfiction may submit up to 30 pages of work. CircleShow accepts a wide variety of nonfiction, including memoir and essays on topics such as: politics, religion, the environment, and the universe.

Authors may submit work in more than one category, but should wait for a response before sending more work in any one category. CircleShow accepts submissions online, but not via post or email. They accept simultaneous submissions, but ask that authors immediately withdraw work published elsewhere. They do not accept previously published work.
