Fahmidan is an online quarterly of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. They aim to publish a wide range of voices from around the world, and to inspire a wide range of emotions in their readers: “Send us your thought provoking existentialism, your phobias, your darkest moments. Entrance us with your whimsical fantasy. Move us to tears with your truth in a world of suffering. Captivate and intrigue us with your hopes and dreams.” You can get a sense of what they publish by reading the journal online.
Fahmidan was founded in 2020, and since then they’ve published four online editions each year. Each issue features writing from around 20 contributors.
Fahmidan is open to submissions year-round. Here’s their reading schedule: From September 15 through December 15 they read for their spring issue, published March 10. From December 16 through March 15 they read for their summer issue, published June 10. From March 16 through June 15 they read for their autumn issue, published September 10. And from June 16 through September 14 they read for their Winter issue, published December 10.
