Orange Blossom Review: Now Seeking Submissions

Orange Blossom Review is a peer-reviewed online journal of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, graphic literature, and book reviews. Sponsored by the Florida College English Association, the journal is thoughtfully curated and attractively designed. You can get a sense of their style by reading past issues online.

Since launching in 2017, Orange Blossom Review has published four issues, each with work from around fifteen contributors. They now publish twice a year, in June and December. And they hold two open reading periods each year: from January 15 through February 15, and from July 15 through August 15.

Poets may submit up to five poems. Authors of fiction and creative nonfiction may submit one piece, up to 5,000 words. Orange Blossom Review accepts novel excerpts, accompanied by a brief synopsis. They also accept graphic literature, up to five images. These can be excerpts from a graphic novel, or image-based stories, essays, or poems.

In addition to creative writing, Orange Blossom Review also publishes book reviews. Authors may submit reviews of recently published books, 1,000 to 2,500 words.

Authors may submit work in more than one genre, but should only send one submission per genre during each reading period. Submitting authors can expect a response within three months.

Orange Blossom Review accepts submissions online, but not via email or by post. They accept simultaneous submissions but ask that authors immediately withdraw work published elsewhere. They do not accept previously published work.
