Stoneboat Literary Journal: Now Seeking Submissions

Stoneboat Literary Journal is an established print and online publication based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. They publish fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, and graphic literature from both emerging and established authors. They’re seeking the best literature they can find in a wide variety of forms and styles.

Since 2010, Stoneboat has been published twice a year, in the spring and fall. This spring, they’ll release their first online edition. Previous editions have been published in print.

Right now through March 15, Stoneboat is accepting submissions for their upcoming spring issue, which will be published online. Poets may submit three to five poems. Authors of fiction and nonfiction may submit up to 5,000 words. Authors of graphic literature, including comics, may submit up to five pages. Stoneboat also accepts hybrid writing.

Authors should submit to Stoneboat no more than once per reading period. They hold two open reading periods each year.

Stoneboat accepts submissions online, using Submittable, not via email or by post. They accept simultaneous submissions but ask that authors immediately withdraw work published elsewhere. They do not accept previously published work.

Stoneboat only accepts submissions that follow the submission guidelines they’ve posed online. Please read these guidelines in full before submitting.
