Wesleyan University Press focuses on poetry, music, dance, science fiction studies, film-TV, and Connecticut history and culture. They have been actively publishing since 1957. Books they have published have won the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. They are an established and respected university press.
Currently they are accepting proposals for books in the areas of dance and music. They are also open to submissions for their Hartford Books Imprint, which publishes nonfiction work focused on the area Hartford Connecticut. Please inquire by email and include the following:
- cover letter
- a table of contents
- a sample chapter or two
- the anticipated length of the manuscript
- the anticipated date of completion (if still a work-in-progress)
- anticipated market for your book
- CV
