Ink & Nebula: Now Seeking Submissions

Ink & Nebula is an online poetry journal and writing school publishing work by established poets (Ink), and saving special space for poets who have not yet been published (Nebula). They believe that poetry can serve as a powerful catalyst for healing and growth, and that these natural functions flourish readily within a fertile community. They want to include in their journal both wise old trees and hopeful budding flowers, calm lakes of tradition and momentous rivers of change.

Ink & Nebula is published quarterly online, in January, April, July, and October. Their submission deadlines are as follows: submit by January 1st for publication in their winter edition, released January 31st; submit by April 1st for publication in their spring edition, released April 30th; submit by July 1st for publication in their summer edition, released July 15th; submit by October 1st for publication in their fall edition, released October 31st. They try to respond to submissions within 60 days.

Poets who have not yet been published can submit up to five poems as “Nebula.” This category is for poets who have never had their work published by anyone else. Poets who have self-published on blogs, social media, or elsewhere can still submit their poems as “Nebula.” For this category, Ink & Nebula accepts poems that have been published on personal blogs or social media, but nowhere else. Poets who don’t fit into this category can submit up to five poems as “Ink.” For this category, Ink & Nebula does not accept previously published work of any kind. Submissions in either category can include a cover letter, but it’s not required. They will request a short bio upon acceptance.

Ink & Nebula accepts submissions via email, but not online or by post. They accept simultaneous submissions, but ask that authors let them know right away if their work is published elsewhere.

If you would like to learn more or submit to Ink & Nebula, please visit their website at http://inkandnebula.com/submissions.html.
